Rebuilding Monk’s Kirby Spire, Warwickshire, 2022

In May 2021, it was discovered that the pinnacles (ornamental tops) on the church tower were crumbling and needed urgent repair. The subsequent conservation work began in July 2022 and was successfully completed by December of the same year, which included restoring the four weathervanes.

This project was made possible through funding, including a successful bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund and other grant bodies such as the Benefact Trust and the Garfield Weston Foundation. A unique part of the fundraising and community engagement effort involved commissioning a detailed LEGO model of the church by Bricks McGee.
